What, no pictures?

We made it through a couple of really challenging weeks. Schedules were crazy, sleep was deprived, and meals were whatever food happened to be in the fridge. With all the running around to concerts and events we completely forgot to take pictures. So, here's a description in words...

The school choirs, Melody Makers, performed in concert. Jonathan, Maddie and Abby all participate. The director was really sick and for a few days I had to prepare to step in and direct if needed. That added much stress to my days.

I had several students competing in festivals/competitions last week. Some did well, some did average. Oh well, for better or worse it was a learning experience for all.

Nicholas performed in a concert with the middle and high school bands. It was extraordinary.

I was in charge of the program portion of the ward Christmas party. After dinner everyone went into the chapel where the primary children put on a nativity presentation. It was darling, funny (not that we rehearsed it to be funny), and sweet. The children sang beautifully and performed their speaking parts well.

Jonathan and Nicholas performed in their Christmas piano recital. I'm not going to lie, they've played better, much, much better. It was totally a reflection on the craziness that has been our house since Thanksgiving.

Joe had his work Christmas party, another late night, but lots of fun.

Maddie performed in the Nutcracker, 3 performances. She was darling on stage and executed her ballet moves with grace.

Only a couple more things before Christmas...a violin recital, Joe's parents visiting, my students giving a Christmas service performance at Joe's nursing home, making a hundred red and green popcorn balls, and packing for a trip to Idaho.

Whew. That makes me tired. This is one of our lower-key Decembers, and I'm loving it.
